Persan & Bellefond jewellery collections are the result of meticulous craftsmanship using high-quality precious materials. To maintain their brilliance, handling these pieces delicately is advised. Should you notice any defects over time, such as slight play or instability in gemstones, or issues with bracelet or necklace closures, we encourage you to contact our customer service.

Simple precautions and regular maintenance will help preserve your jewellery for years to come. We recommend adhering to these usage and care guidelines:

Daily Wear:

While the collection pieces are suitable for daily wear, it is advisable to avoid wearing them during household chores, sports, or activities involving corrosive substances to preserve the integrity of gemstones.
Refrain from wearing your jewellery while washing hands to maintain its brilliance and prevent soap residue from accumulating in crevices.
Exposing your jewellery to excessive heat should be avoided, as temperature fluctuations may harm coloured gemstones.
Avoid wearing jewellery while applying perfume or makeup, as chemical ingredients in cosmetics can affect certain stones.
Store each piece separately in its own case to prevent potential scratches from contact with other jewellery.
When storing necklaces, engage the closure mechanism to prevent tangling.
While diamonds are the hardest material and can only be scratched by other diamonds, they can scratch metals or stones they come into contact with. Avoid contact between diamonds and other jewellery.
Be cautious of impacts: despite their hardness, diamonds can chip upon improper impact.

Maintenance:

Gold:

Clean your gold piece using lukewarm water and a soft brush, then dry it with a gentle cloth. Polishing and rhodium plating can restore white gold pieces showing signs of wear. Please contact us for assistance.

Diamonds:

Preserve diamond brilliance by gently brushing with a soft brush in warm soapy water, followed by drying with a soft cloth.

Coloured Gemstones:

Protect coloured gemstones from temperature fluctuations, thermal shocks, and excessive heat. To clean, use warm soapy water and a soft brush. Gently rub and dry with a soft cloth.

Hyceram lacquer:

To preserve the beauty of Hyceram lacquer, gently clean it with lukewarm water and a soft brush. Gently dry with a lint-free cloth to restore its shine. Although generally scratch-resistant, lacquer may rarely exhibit marks upon contact with other materials. In such cases, contact our customer service to schedule an intervention in our workshops.

For purchases through our retailer network, your piece will be sent to our workshops after depositing it at the boutique. For online purchases at Persan & Bellefond, you can send the item to our brand’s customer service at 8, rue Thomassin 69002 Lyon – France.

Our jewelers will assess your piece and determine necessary maintenance work. Following evaluation and upon your agreement, repairs will commence. Upon completion of repairs and quality checks, your jewellery will be returned directly to you or to the boutique, which will notify you of its availability.

Certificate of Authenticity:

Each Persan & Bellefond jewellery purchase is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The certificate’s date corresponds to the day of sale and is provided by the jeweler or Persan & Bellefond, based on the purchase method.

The certificate of authenticity contains the following information:

Gold alloy
Gemstone nature
Total gemstone weight in carats (CT)

The certificate attests to the following by Persan & Bellefond:

Our pieces are made of recycled 18-carat gold (750 ‰)
Palladium-plated white gold is nickel-free
We use “Hyceram” lacquer
Our diamonds are of natural origin
Our stones are untreated

We exclusively collaborate with “Responsible Jewellery Council” (RJC) certified workshops, an international organization promoting responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
